Monday 8th – Just 4k easy on the treadmill. 4k is more than no k!

Tuesday to Friday I was super busy with work, so no running.

My big race for 2020 was supposed to be Comrades. That was cancelled. Roll on 2021 and … its been cancelled. This gives me mixed feelings. On one hand its dissapointing that the big race that I have wanted to do for so long is still out of reach. But, in contrast, its probably a relief that I don’t have to go through three months of exhausting training, only for the race to be cancelled. Meanwhile, the ‘South African variant’ of COVID-19 seems to be ravaging the country. I hope we come out of this stronger.

Saturday 13th. 8k in the snow. Super cold with windchill, and there were lots of now drifts. I ended up walking as it was too hard to run at one point. It was really beautiful in the snow.
